The 10 biggest LEGO sets retiring by the end of 2026

All caught up on the LEGO sets retiring in July? Ahead of this year’s LEGO Insiders Days event, here are the 10 biggest sets leaving shelves by the end of the year.

Dozens of LEGO sets are retiring in July with many already sold out at LEGO.com, but if you’ve got nothing left to buy from that cohort and are now looking ahead to the end of the year, it’s worth knowing the biggest sets slated to leave shelves. These are the ones you’ll need to save up for above all others, and which you could use to score 40912 Sea Serpent during LEGO Insiders Days 2026.

You’ll find everything you need to know about that event here, but keep reading for the 10 biggest LEGO sets retiring by the end of 2026.

10 – 41843 Family Christmas Tree

 Price: £269.99 / $329.99 / €299.99 Pieces: 3,171 Release date: Oct 1, 2025

LEGO 41843 Family Christmas Tree featured

Last year’s giant Christmas tree and its exclusive bright green Classic Space astronaut parts – the helmet and air tanks – are retiring by the end of this year. Those pieces are up on Pick a Brick right now, but probably won’t be as we head into 2027, so even if you’re not interested in 41843 Family Christmas Tree it’s worth adding those elements to a future LEGO.com order.

After all, you never know when and where the LEGO Group might drop the corresponding torso. Best not to wait until the helmet and air tanks are hard to come by and more expensive on the aftermarket. And if you do want the tree for a little festive building this year? Don’t wait until December: it could easily sell out by late autumn.

9 – 71814 Tournament Temple City

Price: £219.99 / $249.99 / €249.99 Pieces: 3,489 Release date: Jun 1, 2024

LEGO NINJAGO 71814 Tournament Temple City featured

If you’ve left it too late to buy into NINJAGO City but still want an impressive display piece from this theme, look no further than 71814 Tournament Temple City. It’s bolder and more accessible than this year’s 71861 The Old Town for less money, and still includes some very cool side builds to accompany its unusually-shaped central structure. In fact, it might just be NINJAGO’s most underrated set of the past few years…

8 – 10341 NASA Artemis Space Launch System

Price: £219.99 / $259.99 / €259.99 Pieces: 3,601 Release date: May 15, 2024

Space fanatics will want to make room (we resisted the urge for the obvious pun there) for 10341 NASA Artemis Space Launch System before it launches into the atmosphere for its final flight. That’s due to happen by the end of December, but there’s no exact date: it could just up and disappear one day, so bump this one up your priority list if it’s on your radar.

7 – 21323 Grand Piano

Price: £344.99 / $399.99 / €399.99 Pieces: 3,662 Release date: Aug 1, 2020

LEGO Ideas 21323 Grand Piano featured

One of the biggest LEGO Ideas sets of all time, and certainly the oldest currently on shelves, will finally bow out at the end of 2026 as things stand. 21323 Grand Piano has enjoyed an unprecedented shelf life, so anyone hoping to acquire it by now may already have it.

But if it’s one you’ve been meaning to get round to or are perhaps just seeing for the first time if you’re new to LEGO, consider this your warning to play this particular tune while you still can…

6 – 21353 The Botanical Garden

Price: £289.99 / $329.99 / €329.99  Pieces: 3,792 Release date: Nov 1, 2024

LEGO Ideas 21353 The Botanical Garden featured-1

If you’re a green-fingered LEGO fan still trying to find space or funds for 21353 The Botanical Garden, time is of the essence: this 3,792-piece LEGO Ideas set is on the way out in 2026, just two years after it first arrived on shelves. It’s an easy one to drop into a LEGO city but looks really nice on its own too, and is ripe for modding to reflect the seasons throughout the year.

5 – 75397 Jabba's Sail Barge

Price: £429.99 / $499.99 / €499.99 Pieces: 3,942 Release date: Oct 3, 2024

LEGO Star Wars 75397 Jabba's Sail Barge featured-1

Some LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series sets enjoy years and years in production – see number one on this list – while others get the standard two years on shelves and then head off to the great big LEGO retirement home in the sky. So it goes for 75397 Jabba’s Sail Barge, which is departing the sand dunes of Tatooine for good this year and taking a laundry list of exclusive minifigures with it.

This set has always felt like something a little out of the ordinary for LEGO Star Wars – it’s not a ship, or a grey box – and while the Desert Skiff that paired with it is long gone, it’s still worth picking up while the going’s good.

4 – 10326 Natural History Museum

Price: £259.99 / $299.99 / €299.99 Pieces: 4,014 Release date: Dec 1, 2023

LEGO Icons 10326 Natural History Museum lifestyle featured (2)

The only LEGO modular building leaving shelves in 2026 (at least as things stand) is 10326 Natural History Museum, a sprawling 48-wide set that also feels like one of the most underrated entries in the series in recent years. Yeah, it’s a little small for a museum in the grand scheme of things, but it still looks the part inside and out.

If you’re collecting these buildings, don’t miss it: you’ll only regret it a year or two from now when it’s ancient history. (Sorry not sorry.)

3 – 21356 River Steamboat

Price: £289.99 / $329.99 / €329.99 Pieces: 4,090 Release date: Apr 7, 2025

LEGO Ideas 21356 River Steamboat featured

The largest LEGO Ideas set of all time (by piece count) is chugging off shelves less than two years after it arrived, and while it’s quite a niche model – particularly for the price point – it’s worth keeping in mind if you’re part of that target audience. Or if you just want to own a milestone LEGO set, and fair enough, it’s your collection. You do you.

2 – 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser

Price: £559.99 / $649.99 / €649.99 Pieces: 5,374 Release date: Oct 1, 2023

Could you have imagined 10 or even five years ago that we’d one day get a LEGO Star Wars prequel trilogy set with over 5,000 pieces? Well, all things eventually come to pass in this theme, and so it was that 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser soared into view in 2023. Three years later it’s cruising off into the distance, so don’t wait too much longer if you’d like to pick up this Republic behemoth.

1 – 75192 Millennium Falcon

Price: £734.99 / $849.99 / €849.99 Pieces: 7,541 Release date: Sep 14, 2017

Last but not least, 75192 Millennium Falcon is finally set to retire in 2026. It’s not only one of the biggest LEGO Star Wars sets of all time, but the one with the most staying power, having spent nearly a full decade in production. And it hasn’t aged a day in that time – it’s still the holy grail for LEGO Star Wars collectors, and short of a new version debuting in 2027 it’s one not to miss.

LEGO Insiders Days 2026 runs from July 7 to 12, during which 40912 Sea Serpent is free with all orders above £160 / $180 / €180 (while stocks last). Head here for more info on Insiders Days.
