The LEGO Group’s free Star Wars poster now available

May the 4th is finally here again, and the LEGO Group have given us a free Star Wars poster that you can download from LEGO.com.

Alongside a whole host of other deals and discounts, May the 4th is an important day for Star Wars fans every year, and the LEGO Group has given us plenty to go on, including the free new poster.

Six new LEGO Star Wars sets have been launched, as well as a Death Star GWP (providing that you’re willing to spend at least £130 / $150 / €150 on something else). There’s also the Return of the Jedi 40th Collectible GWP coin, which again requires a £80 / $85 / €85 spend.

For those looking for something a little less pricey, there’s 30654 X-wing Starfighter GWP that comes with any purchase over £35 / $40 / €40, but that particular set does seem pretty similar to one that we’ve seen before.

However, there is still something everyone can get free of charge, and that’s the poster that’s currently available online. The poster has the expected starry background and Luke Skywalker’s X-wing, as well as the Death Star up there too.

The poster seems to mash up A New Hope and Return of the Jedi, with Luke in his X-wing chasing Darth Vader in his TIE Advanced (rather than the other way around), in front of the second rather than first Death Star.

Inaccurate, maybe, but LEGO is all about playing in the Star Wars sandbox rather than strictly recreating specific scenes, right?
