The LEGO Ideas STEM contest results have been delayed

We’ll have to wait a bit longer to see what design will inspire a future LEGO Ideas GWP from the STEM contest as there’s been a delay.

The results of the LEGO IDEAS STEM contest, where the winning submissions will be transformed into a future GWP, have been delayed until an unconfirmed date as spotted in a message at the top of the LEGO Ideas homepage.

“Unfortunately, we will have to delay the Winner Announcement for the STEM contest as one of the Runner Up winners hasn’t got back to us,” shares Jacob McQuillan from the LEGO Ideas team. “So we need a little extra time! We will announce the winners ASAP.”

At the very least, this means that the grand prize winner has been selected, though it suggests that the team aren’t going to be sharing the results until all winners have responded to them. No specific date has been revealed for the delayed announcement, as the team don’t know when this winner will be able to get back to them.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
