The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part sets may be cleared out in the UK

Brick Fanatics understands that UK consumers will soon find discounted The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part sets at retail.

The year started with the release of The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, a film that received good-to-middling reviews from critics and that hoped to drive sales of associated products. Unfortunately for Warner Bros. and the LEGO Group, the film did not have a successful box office run, which it seems has impacted sales of the sets based on the animated feature.

Brick Fanatics has received word that clearance companies in the UK are currently selling The LEGO Movie 2 stock at a significant discount on the usual price that could lead to prices as low as 50% off the original recommended retail price. This could be a great opportunity for those looking for a bargain Christmas present.

It was notable that in the LEGO Group’s 2019 first half results, The LEGO Movie 2 was listed outside the top six selling themes of the year. When The LEGO Movie was released in 2014, the film based theme was among the most successful of the year.

This information should be treated as a rumour until the stocks starts turning up.

The new sets are unlikely to be included in the clearance:

70847 Good Morning Sparkle Babies!
70848 Systar Party Crew
70849 Wyld-Mayhem Star Fighter
