The Secret Life of LEGO Bricks reprint available now
The reprinted version of The Secret Life of LEGO Bricks is out now, offering another chance to dig deep into one of the first official books for adult fans of LEGO.
Written by Blocks magazine US editor and former Brick Fanatics contributor Daniel Konstanski, The Secret Life of LEGO Bricks offers unprecedented access into the LEGO Group’s history and products, featuring interviews with set testers, element designers, set designers, company executives and more. The book originally enjoyed a one-off print run in 2022, available to backers who crowdfunded the title in 2021.
Don’t worry if you missed out on that crowdfunding run, though: publisher Unbound has now reprinted The Secret Life of LEGO Bricks: The Inside Story of a Design Icon, so you can pick it up through all good bookstores (or Amazon, if you prefer). The hardcover book is available for a recommended retail price of £30 in the UK, although Amazon has it in stock at the time of writing for just £21.68.
You won’t get any of the exclusive rewards available to backers through the crowdfunding period, including the 3D-printed pogo stick, but you will get to read each and every one of the fascinating stories Daniel and his interviewees recount throughout the book’s 400 pages. The various chapters trace everything from monorails and rollercoasters to minifigures and unreleased prototype sets and systems.
