Less than two weeks after being announced, The Secret Life of LEGO Bricks has been fully funded and will be going to print.
After a vote on LEGO Ideas to determine the subject matter for the first official LEGO book catering specifically for AFOLs, The Secret Life of LEGO Bricks went on sale at Unbound, a publisher focusing on niche books sold via advance orders.
Now, 1750 fans have ordered the book, which will be authored by Blocks magazine US Editor Daniel Konstanski, ahead of its release in 2022. This means it will definitely be published, but anyone else who wants to own the book must place an order before ‘early 2021’, as it is only available to those who advance order.
Here is the official summary of what The Secret Life of LEGO will cover:
Showcasing the extraordinary variety of LEGO elements, from monorail tracks and wheels to smart bricks, the Mask of Life from BIONICLE, and many more, The Secret Life of LEGO Bricks will feature interviews with the designers, managers and technicians who brought them to life, as well as artefacts from the LEGO Archive in Billund, Denmark.
