The three easy steps to finding the Series 25 minifigure you want with the Brick Search app

It’s never been easier to get the LEGO Minifigures Series 25 minifigure you want – there are just three steps to it thanks to the Brick Search app.

The LEGO Group introduced a new feature on the blind boxes for Series 25: a small code on the base that looks like a mini QR code. It’s actually a data matrix code and the Brick Search app can scan it, read the data and match it with the individual minifigure entry in the app’s database.

That means with just three steps, you can discover what’s inside a Series 25 minifigure box before opening it.

All you have to do is:

• Find a Series 25 box with the larger data matrix code on the base (see image above)
• Download Brick Search – for iOS here or Android here
• Open Brick Search’s scanner – the blue button at the bottom of the screen – and point it at the data matrix code

Hold the box in place for just a few seconds and the scanner will read the code and show you what’s inside the box. You can see the minifigure scanner in action here, on Brick Fanatics’ YouTube channel.

That’s all there is to it – if you’ve got a Series 25 box with the larger data matrix code and the Brick Search app then you’re two-thirds of the way to being able to tell what’s inside the box. All you need to do is open the scanner and hold the code in front of it!
