I’ve been on the fence – but this price for LEGO Star Wars Logo has convinced me
For many LEGO Star Wars fans, 75407 Star Wars Logo was an unconvincing release – but Amazon‘s latest deal has persuaded me.
I like a good display model as much as the next person. I’ve got many a Kallax and floating shelf that I love to fill with LEGO sets, and a fair amount of them are LEGO Star Wars. However, I’ve always preferred recreating actual icons from a galaxy far, far away. Some of my favourites include 75375 Millennium Falcon (or any of the midi-scale ships), or buildable characters like 75379 R2-D2 and 75393 C-3PO.
When 75407 Star Wars Logo came out, I didn’t see the appeal of an unimaginative version of the logo, beloved as it is. However, this existential evaluation of the set from Chris the other day had me halfway convinced that maybe 75407 was worth my time – and now Amazon’s Prime Big Deals have me convinced that it’s worth the money.
The retailer has dropped the price of 75407 Star Wars Logo to just £39.99, down from its usual RRP of £59.99. That’s a saving of £20, bringing the set down to a price I might have been more willing to consider from the very beginning. £40 for what is, by all accounts, a surprisingly engaging build and a slick way to tie together a LEGO Star Wars display feels like the right time to finally hit purchase, at least for me.
