Three LEGO Star Wars mechs spotted online

Three iconic Star Wars characters are now joining the likes of LEGO Superheroes and Marvel to get their own mechs.

German retailer JB Spielwaren has released images of three new LEGO Star Wars mechs: 75368 Darth Vader’s Mech, 75369 Boba Fett Mech, and 75370 Stormtrooper Mech. Each one comes with its own minifigure and a buildable mech, along with features aligned with each individual character.

For 75368 Darth Vader’s Mech, for example, the mech comes with its own enormous red lightsaber, to go along with the minifigure’s smaller one. The minifigure itself looks to be the same one as in 75347 TIE Bomber, with printed arms and legs for extra authenticity.

75369 Boba Fett Mech includes a minifigure with the distressed armour from Boba Fett’s time in the Sarlacc pit, similar to the minifigure from 75222 Betrayal at Cloud City. While his mech doesn’t, of course, have a lightsaber, it is kitted out with a scaled-up jetpack and an enormous gun, reflecting Boba’s preferred weapons and gadgets.

The black and white mech for 75370 Stormtrooper Mech reflects the Stormtrooper’s signature armour, equipped with both a minifigure and mech-sized blaster that can shoot red studs to replicate blaster shots. The minifigure is another recent design, complete with printed legs.

Each of the mechs is priced at €13.59 on JB Spielwaren, so we can likely expect similar price tags of less than £20 / $20 in other markets as well. All three are listed as available from July 31 this year, suggesting an August 1 release date, as the LEGO Group rarely releases new sets on the last day of the month. All have also appeared on the official LEGO Building Instructions page, so we may well expect an official announcement sometime soon to confirm the international prices and release dates.
