Build an F1 car from LEGO Technic 42162 Bugatti Bolide Agile Blue

While LEGO Technic already has some F1 model sets, it seems that 42162 Bugatti Bolide Agile Blue can be repurposed to make an F1 car too.

The 9+ set 42162 Bugatti Bolide Agile Blue, which was released as part of the June 1 wave of LEGO sets, has a total of 905 pieces, which means there’s plenty of brick elements that can be used to make up a whole new design. If you’ve got the set already and feel like you could use a bit of a change, making your Bugatti into a nifty F1 car could just do the trick.

As designed by Rebrickable user M_longer, the blue Bugatti can be altered to create a model of the Renault R.S.20, which was used in the 2020 Formula One World Championship. The alternative build of the racing car features a front wheel steering, as well as a fake V6 engine.

We’ve already seen a LEGO Bugatti Bolide with set 42151 Bugatti Bolide, which is all but identical to 42162 Bugatti Bolide Agile Blue except for the fact that it’s yellow. As a result, the same F1 car could be made with either of the Bugatti LEGO sets, depending on which colour you have (or prefer).

Both 42162 Bugatti Bolide Agile Blue and 42151 Bugatti Bolide are both currently available now on LEGO.com for £44.99 / $49.99 / €49.99.
