TV cars could be part of LEGO Speed Champions’ future

TV cars could be part of LEGO Speed Champions’ future as a designer has referred to the new collection of movie vehicles, mentioning TV too.

In a recent roundtable session including Racing Brick, lead designer Chris Stamp referred to the upcoming 76917 2 Fast 2 Furious Nissan Skyline GTR (R34) as part of the ‘Movie and TV’ vehicle collection of the theme. This same phrase is repeated towards the end of the footage too, suggesting that it’s no mistake.

In a previous interview following the reveal of the first movie cars, Chris mentioned ‘iconic movie and TV vehicles’ as potential sources for these sets, and the fact that TV is still being referred to four months later suggests that the design team are still open to vehicles from series as well as films.

It has been reported that the team are open to doing more in the future, provided the first three are well-received. According to Chris, the team know that there is demand for these vehicles, stating “We heard you guys, you want more of them.”

Full details have yet to be revealed following an initial listing and note that there are no TV series Speed Champions cars just yet, with none confirmed for the future at this time.

Knight Industries Two Thousand aka KITT from Knight Rider seems like a likely possibility considering there was previously a Lego Dimensions mini Knight Rider.

I’d love to see the iconic Starsky and Hutch red Ford Gran Torino with white racing stripe.

Anyone else want to speculate wildly?
