Two new LEGO Creator 3-in-1 summer 2023 sets revealed

The LEGO Group has revealed two new Creator 3-in-1 sets launching later this year, including a sci-fi roller coaster – and the theme’s biggest set to date.

At the moment, the biggest LEGO Creator 3-in-1 set by piece count is 31120 Medieval Castle, coming in at 1,426 parts. That retro model will soon be eclipsed by 31141 Main Street, a successor to the likes of 31097 Townhouse Pet Shop & Café and 31131 Downtown Noodle Shop that includes a whopping 1,459 pieces. The main model includes multiple shopfronts of varying heights, colours and architectural styles, arranged in a busy street.

Like all Creator 3-in-1 sets, it also includes instructions to reassemble the main model into two alternate builds: a towering single building, and a slightly smaller take on a series of stores. 31141 Main Street is one of two new Creator 3-in-1 sets revealed today through the Kids section of LEGO.com and an Australian Certified Store.

The other is 31142 Space Roller Coaster, a follow-up to 2018’s 31084 Pirate Roller Coaster that swaps out one classic LEGO theme for another. The sci-fi coaster includes new dark blue track pieces and plenty of spacey motifs, from a rocket, comet and planet to a moon base, rover and tentacled alien spewing from rocks. There’s also a tiny rocket ride, complete with the SpaceBaby from 71037 Series 24.

31142 Space Roller Coaster’s alternate builds offer a little more variety than those in 31134 Main Street, as the coaster can be reconfigured into a spinning UFO ride or a rocket-themed drop ride. That makes a pretty good case for picking up all three for a complete space theme park…

We don’t yet have prices or full release dates for either of these sets, but they’re likely to be available from June in the UK and August in the US (following last summer’s Creator 3-in-1 release pattern). Keep an eye on Brick Fanatics for more info as we get it.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
