Two new LEGO Harry Potter sets rumoured for 2027

The first word on two new LEGO Harry Potter sets rumoured for January 2027 has landed online, pointing to a Dobby-centric model and another section of Hogwarts Castle.

Unibricks reports that 76479 Harry meets Dobby and 76483 First year at Hogwarts Castle will debut in January next year, only a few weeks after HBO’s Harry Potter TV series arrives on the small screen. Whether these sets will be hooked specifically to that show or the legacy movies is unknown at this stage (assuming they exist at all).

76479 Harry meets Dobby is said to retail for $14.99 in the US, potentially offering another cheap way to add the House-elf to your collection. That’s if this is a playset, of course, and we’re deep into speculation territory here – but a small model of Harry’s first encounter with Dobby at Privet Drive could make for a nice pocket-money-priced set.

The real question on Wizarding World fans’ lips here will be whether 76483 First year at Hogwarts Castle is another addition to the current modular line-up, which has continued this summer with 76473 Hogwarts Castle: East Wing, or whether the LEGO Group is wiping the slate clean and starting from scratch.

Given we’re seemingly back to the Philosopher’s Stone with this one, the latter feels a little more likely – although with a price tag of only $109.99, there’s just as much chance that we’re looking at something completely different. Maybe it’s a playset of an interior of the castle rather than something that also tries to capture the external walls?

That could be a viable candidate for a set based specifically on the HBO show, but at this point we don’t really have much to go on.
