Two new LEGO Star Wars key chains officially revealed
Two new LEGO Star Wars key chains are on their way in May, joining in on the Star Wars Day celebrations for 2024.
While some LEGO Star Wars sets released for the 25th anniversary celebration include incredibly detailed ships and rare celebratory minifigures, there are also some more low-key additions to the theme coming in May. New listings on LEGO.com just revealed two brand-new key chains, to be released on May 1 for £4.99 / €5.99. While US prices haven’t been confirmed for these specific key chains, we’d expect them to follow the usual pattern at $5.99.
The LEGO Star Wars key chains are 854288 Luke Skywalker Pilot Key Chain and 854289 Emperor Palpatine Key Chain. The former features Luke in his orange pilot suit, complete with a printed helmet, orange visor, and printing on the arms. It appears to be the same minifigure design as the one included in LEGO Star Wars UCS 75355 X-wing Starfighter

For 854289 Emperor Palpatine Key Chain, the Emperor minifigure includes the customary cowl and a minifigure head complete with Sith eyes. It looks like the same minifigure as in 75291 Death Star Final Duel, meaning it likely won’t have the spongy cape seen in the updated minifigure from 75352 Emperor’s Throne Room Diorama, although it’s hard to tell for sure.
