Unexpected LEGO sets qualify for new LEGO Disney GWP
More LEGO sets than you may have expected to qualify for the new 40659 Mini Steamboat Willie gift, thanks to one of Disney’s biggest acquisitions.
With only days left of its availability period (until October 31) and 40599 Houses of the World 4 already sold out at the time of writing on LEGO.com, it’s worth noting that there are a few LEGO sets that qualify for 40659 Mini Steamboat Willie’s £95 / $100 / €100 threshold that you might have expected to. While it’s clear and clarified that LEGO Marvel, Star Wars and the main Disney theme are all included in the deal, so are two other themes and one massive set.
LEGO Avatar’s many models qualify for the promotion, and one is enough to net you the GWP on its own – 75574 Toruk Makto & Tree of Souls. Some of these sets are scheduled to retire at the end of the year and feature many exclusive minifigures and pieces alongside some unique builds.
LEGO Indiana Jones’ trio of models also qualify for the GWP, including the huge 77015 Temple of the Golden Idol. The theme’s recent return only includes these three sets after another was retired and is your best current opportunity to pick up the iconic character in minifigure form.
However, it’s not just those two full themes that surprisingly qualify for the promotion. More notably, 21330 Home Alone appears to be triggering the deal too, despite being less closely related to Disney. While you might remember Home Alone as a 20th Century Fox movie, the 2019 acquisition of the studio by Disney means that this is a LEGO Disney set, and will score you a free 40659 Mini Steamboat Willie.
21330 Home Alone is currently on back order in the UK and Europe but is still available to purchase in the regions, as well as for immediate shipping in the US. Considering the time of year and the GWP, it’s not a bad time to buy it before the Christmas season starts and its popularity potentially increases.
At the time of publication, 40659 Mini Steamboat Willie has just sold out on the official online store around the world. It seems unlikely that it will return before October 31, but just in case the information in this article may still be relevant. Alternatively, any future LEGO Disney deals may allow these models to qualify too.
