WATCH: The new LEGO Disney Castle set looks very familiar

There’s a brand new LEGO Disney Castle set on the way to celebrate the company’s 100th anniversary – and it looks just a little bit familiar.

Unveiled earlier today, the 4,837-piece 43222 Disney Castle builds on its predecessor 71040 The Disney Castle – which launched in 2016, spent six years on shelves before retiring and is now being almost immediately replaced – in a couple of ways, but in others looks surprisingly similar to its older sibling.

You can check out the one big difference between these two sets by watching our latest YouTube video, which you’ll find over on our YouTube channel. Oh, and more thing: this video also features probably the best architecture pun you’ll ever hear. Just saying.

You can also take a closer look at both the new and old Disney Castles over on TikTok. Never say we don’t give you options.

43222 Disney Castle launches July 1 for VIP members (and July 4 for everyone else) for £344.99 / $399.99 / €399.99. Click here to take a closer look at the brand new set, or head here for an in-depth comparison between the two big buildings.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
