WATCH: This LEGO Ideas wizard’s house is magical

Harry who? The boy wizard is old news for the latest LEGO Ideas project, which offers an alternative approach to manufacturing with magic…

Sliding into the third 2022 review earlier today, LEGO Ideas user farmfarm’s second 10K project (following their brick-built bookends) dreams up a wizard’s house that’s rooted in classic fantasy. It’s the sort of thing you’d be more likely to see in Dungeons & Dragons than Harry Potter – coincidentally, both now properties under the LEGO umbrella – and it’s all the better for it.

You can take a closer look at this Ideas project in our latest YouTube video. It’s now in with a chance of being produced as an official LEGO Ideas set – but it will first need the approval of the review board, which will judge it alongside the rest of the successful projects in the third 2022 review. The qualifying window for that review closes at the start of January.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
