WATCH: The story behind LEGO The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell’s best new piece

LEGO Icons 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell debuts an interesting new brick and its designer has revealed how it came to be.

10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell adds another element to the growing collection of foliage bricks. In our latest YouTube and TikTok video, we’re going over designer Wes Talbott’s concepts and the story behind this fascinating fern piece.

Debuting in 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell, this latest addition to the line-up of plant-based bricks is likely to appear in future models as ferns aren’t exclusive to the fantasy settlement.

Designer West Talbott took to Instagram following its reveal to showcase some of the concepts for this element, revealing what changes it went through, including pointing upwards and arching to the side instead of arching down or pointing off the side with a much smaller arch.
