The latest LEGO Ideas 10K project looks absolutely stunning – but will it rack up enough points with the review board to win a spot in the Ideas line-up?

Alan Avila’s Modular Arcade has gamed its way to the LEGO Ideas review stage for the second time, amassing enough support from the community to be considered for production as an official LEGO Ideas set. It originally reached the coveted 10,000 votes in 2017, but was ultimately rejected by the LEGO Ideas review board.

Avila – who is also the builder behind 910013 Retro Bowling Alley, which was released earlier this year under the BrickLink Designer Program – will be hoping the LEGO Group reconsiders this time round, but there’s at least one major obstacle standing in its way. Check out our latest YouTube video to find out what that is – along with a closer look at the details that bring this incredible model to life.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
