Which LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 5 sets will sell out first?
LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 5 opens for pre-orders very soon, so we’re logging our predictions for which sets will sell out first.
Although BrickLink has announced that the capacity for Series 5 will be increased, there will likely still be an upper limit to how many of each set will head into production. As it stands, the website still says that up to 30,000 will be made, with 3,000 pre-orders required as a minimum to fund each set.
Once the maximum amount of pre-orders is hit for Series 5, no more orders can be placed for those sets. Past series have shown that some sets can sell out in a matter of hours, while others take longer or never hit the upper limit. The most popular sets tend to be inspired by popular themes like Castle, while more niche or less detailed sets stick around for longer.
Ahead of Series 5 pre-orders opening on June 10 at 4pm UK time (8am Pacific), we’re making our prediction for which sets will sell out first.
910053 The Thieves of Tortuga
Price: £299.99 / $339.99 / €339.99 Pieces: 4,002 Designer: Krackenator

Kicking off with 910053 The Thieves of Tortuga, this is an incredibly detailed Pirates set, essentially bringing out two sets connected by a brick-built bridge. Featuring a whopping 13 minifigures (and a shark) it’s the ultimate set for pirate fans, with a real depth of colour and personality. Pirates is almost as popular of a classic theme as Castle, so we’d expect 910053 The Thieves of Tortuga to sell out quickly – although perhaps not quite as quickly as…
Our prediction: Sold out within 48 hours.
910049 Adventure in Transylvania
Price: £299.99 / $349.99 / €349.99 Pieces: 4,056 Designer: SleeplessNight

910049 Adventure in Transylvania is Series 5’s take on the ever-popular Castle presence. Instead of going traditionally medieval in aesthetic, it incorporates gothic and horror elements to make for a truly unique castle. With a lot of hype already buzzing online, we’d expect this 4,056-piece set and its 14 minifigures to sell out within a matter of hours.
Our prediction: Sold out within 24 hours.
910051 Mushroom Village
Price: £189.99 / $209.99 / €209.99 Pieces: 2,436 Designer: JonasKramm

910051 Mushroom Village is a follow up on Series 2’s Mushroom House by the same fan designer, Jonas Kramm. The earlier set sold out over the first night of pre-orders opening and sold out again when the LEGO Group opened up limited sales of the set years later. With a proven track record for this style of set, fans of Mushroom House will likely be back in droves to pick up an expanded and more detailed continuation of mushroom civilisation.
Our prediction: Sold out within 48 hours.
910050 Antique Shop
Price: £129.99 / $149.99 / €149.99 Pieces: 1,918 Designer: ThatOneGuySteve

ThatOneGuySteve’s 910050 Antique Shop is cosy from roof to base, bringing the knick-knacks of an antique shop to brick-built life. Complete with a truck and a population of six minifigures, it’s a temptingly detailed set, but will likely appeal to a more narrow audience than the trusty Castle and Pirates-themed builds. It will sell well, but likely not sell out.
Our prediction: Will sell around 60% of its allocation.
910052 Popcorn Wagon
Price: £49.99 / $59.99 / €57.99 Pieces: 594 Release date: November 1, 2025 Designer: Mictur

The same can be said for 910052 Popcorn Wagon. Coming in at a very reasonable £49.99 / $59.99 / €57.99, this is an affordable way to get in on the BrickLink fun and will likely prove popular for people who want something from Series 5 but don’t want to shell out triple figures. It’s a solid choice in its own right, with plenty of personality packed into its 594 pieces, so will also sell well – but not to the upper limit.
Our prediction: Will sell around 70% of its allocation.
