Who’s who in LEGO 71837 NINJAGO City Workshops?
The next LEGO NINJAGO City set – LEGO 71837 NINJAGO City Workshops – is full of exclusive minifigures for which you’ll need a guide.
The long-running LEGO NINJAGO City collection of modular models has been a treasure trove for rare and exclusive NINJAGO minifigures, usually covering more obscure characters that the fans have been waiting years for. 71837 NINJAGO City Workshops is no different, with 10 minifigures – only four of which are generic citizen minifigures.

The rest of the cast in the 2025 NINJAGO City set are more obscure and will require some prior knowledge to appreciate them fully. For those unfamiliar with the past 14 years of NINJAGO, here’s everything you need to know about the minifigures in 71837 NINJAGO City Workshops.
Zane

Zane is one of the main cast of NINJAGO and has been for the past 14 years. The Nindroid has embraced his robotic nature since the start of the animated series and in the 2025 sets proudly shows off his exposed chest and power core. He pairs perfectly with the next character on this list, who is similarly well-known in NINJAGO.
Pixal

Pixal is Zane’s partner in more ways than one. She is also a Nindroid introduced later in the NINJAGO series, though she has still been in the theme and on the team for most of its lifespan. In 71837 NINJAGO City Workshops, she is wearing a new suit of armour with the Samurai X logo, confirming that she is still the superhero-like vigilante after taking over the role from Nya when she joined the main team.
Dragonian Tourist

While the Dragonian tourist is similarly as generic as the model shop owner, a quick explanation of their Dragonian nature will still be useful ahead of the new NINJAGO City set’s launch. Dragonians are new to NINJAGO for 2025 and seem to be on the side of the villains at the time of writing. These red-skinned characters have pointed teeth and usually wear armour resembling dragons with wings that allow them to fly. This Dragonian is taking a holiday though, taking in the sights of NINJAGO City instead of attacking its heroes.
Dorama

Dorama and his puppet are recurring antagonists in LEGO NINJAGO: Dragons Rising. The entertainer originally operated out of the Crossroads, briefly tangling with Sora and Arin until he was approached by Imperium to help with a major project that would threaten the ninjas and dragons. Dorama has since been sticking to villainy by forcing farmers to watch his performances before he was stopped by the ninjas. Now he’s back in NINJAGO City with his own abode alongside a downsized version of his mechanical puppet.
Dr. LaRow

Dr. LaRow pairs perfectly with Dorama in 71837 NINJAGO City Workshops as the head scientist of Imperium and a key antagonist in the first season of the show. Her oversized glasses help define her appearance but her debut minifigure seems to have the wrong hair colour. Dr LaRow has not reappeared in the series since the first season of Dragons Rising but makes her debut in the new NINJAGO City set.
Harumi

Haruma first appeared in the Sons of Garmadon season and before attempting to destroy NINJAGO as we knew it across Hunted, she was the Jade Princess of NINJAGO. One of her first villainous acts in the show led to the passing of her adoptive parents. Before this, she sneaks out of the palace with Lloyd wearing the outfit seen in 71837 NINJAGO City Workshops. She has since learnt the error of her ways but has not reappeared in Dragons Rising just yet.
Twitchy Tim

Twitchy Tim is one of the most exciting new minifigures in 71837 NINJAGO City Workshops as he was planned for a cancelled set, finally making his minifigure debut in 2025. Timothy Batterson, or Twitchy Tim as he is nicknamed, was on a balloon tour one day before crashing into the Island of the Keepers and was affected by the strange lightning that shrouded the island, giving him some amnesia.
He helped the ninjas find the island in the titular season and since then has continued to operate a gas station outside NINJAGO City. In the new set, he is trying his luck at being a mech pilot.
71837 NINJAGO City Workshops launches on March 1, 2025, for £219.99 / $249.99 / €249.99 with 3,244 pieces. The larger 71799 NINJAGO City Markets is currently available to connect to it.
