Will PlayStation’s State of Play include LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga?

Sony has announced a new State of Play showcase will debut tomorrow – but will it include anything new on LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga?

PlayStation’s version of Nintendo’s Direct presentations may not be the most obvious platform for TT Games and Warner Bros. to finally announce a release date for the long-awaited game, but if it’s going to arrive in spring as planned, they’re going to need to reveal something soon.

Last week’s Direct disappointed on that front, but the State of Play address – which will kick off on Thursday, February 25 at 10pm UK time – could yet surprise us. Sony’s promising a mix of new game announcements and updates on third-party AAA and indie titles, including some featured in last June’s PS5 showcase.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga would fall neatly into that third-party blockbuster category, but based on everything we’ve heard (or more accurately, not heard) about the game so far, we’re not holding our breath.

We’ll let you know if anything comes of Sony’s State of Play either way. In the meantime, click through to find out everything we do know about LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, including info on its downloadable content and the deluxe edition of the game.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then. You can follow me on Twitter at @brfa_chris.
