The winners of the LEGO Ideas Avatar challenge will be announced soon

With the recent LEGO Ideas Avatar challenge now closed, we only have to wait a couple of weeks to find out who submitted the winning entries.

The LEGO Ideas team launched an Avatar-themed challenge back in November, 2022 looking for talented designers to submit physical or digital creations exploring the landscapes and nature of Pandora. The grand prize up for grabs was no less than every single LEGO Avatar set released so far, including five new models that launched on January 1, 2023, plus Avatar goodies such as books and clothing. In addition, two runners-up will also receive their own impressive Avatar prize hauls.

Now that the LEGO Ideas team has announced that the challenge has officially closed, the competition will move onto its next stage. A panel of judges consisting of members of the LEGO Avatar team will choose the winners from all of the entries submitted and the results will be posted on the LEGO Ideas blog on Janaury 26, 2023.

The LEGO Ideas Avatar challenge has ended on the same day as the winning entry from the LEGO Ideas Dungeons & Dragons contest was revealed. BoltBuilds’ Dragon’s Keep: Journey’s End will now go on to become an official LEGO set at some point in 2024.

Avatar: the Way of Water is still available to watch at cinemas around the world, with the James Cameron directed sequel currently on track to earn over $1.5 billion globally, overtaking Top Gun: Maverick to become the highest-grossing film of 2022.
