$1,000 LEGO Star Wars Death Star rumoured to include over 9,000 pieces
The $1,000 LEGO Star Wars Death Star rumoured for later this year is now believed to feature over 9,000 pieces in the latest rumour update.
Late last year, a rumour surfaced online from a reliable source that a $1,000 (or technically $999.99) Ultimate Collector Series Death Star set would be launching in 2025. We originally speculated that, with licensing costs, such a build might be in the range of 8,000 elements. It’s now stated by an anonymous source and cross-posted by the reliable Clay_Bricks that 75419 UCS Death Star will have a staggering 9,019 pieces.
This combines with the last rumour that the Star Wars set would feature around 40 minifigures, which this source believes. It’s claimed to be launching in October and would easily take the crown as the biggest and most expensive LEGO Star Wars set of all time from 75192 Millennium Falcon, with 7,541 elements for $849.99.
Take all of this information with a pinch of salt or two for now, but that part total is more favourable compared to the rumoured $1,000 price tag than other recent Star Wars sets, including 75401 Ahsoka’s Jedi Interceptor with just 290 pieces for $44.99.
For a more direct comparison, 10294 Titanic has 9,090 pieces as one of the biggest LEGO sets of all time, and the rumoured UCS Death Star would certainly be joining that list with 9,019 elements.
