LEGO Technic 42205 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray revealed

The first official images of 42205 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray have surfaced online, revealing another mid-range LEGO Technic car on the way in 2025.

Coming in at 732 pieces for a rumoured price of $59.99 in the US, 42205 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray falls into the same general category of LEGO Technic sets as 42161 Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica, 42184 Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut White Hypercar and 42151 Bugatti Bolide. The first images have landed online courtesy of Amazon Mexico, which has also today revealed two new LEGO Star Wars 2025 sets.

There’s not much else to go on beyond a confirmed release date of March 1, 2025, but based on previous sets we can expect a respectable balance between form and function for the price point. The back of the box shows that the car incorporates hand-of-god steering, an accessible engine and opening doors, and it’s safe to assume the engine pistons will be able to move too.

42205 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is cast in bright yellow, but given other recent cars have launched in various different colour options it’s not difficult to imagine other variants following later down the line. Nothing is even rumoured in that respect at the moment, though. Check out the full LEGO Technic 2025 slate so far below.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
