First look at LEGO Harry Potter 76453 Malfoy Manor
Smyths Toys has shared a first look at LEGO Harry Potter 76453 Malfoy Manor, a 1,600-piece set based on some of the darkest scenes in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Remember in Harry Potter when the good guys get tortured and a snake eats a person? That all went down at Malfoy Manor, the base of operations for the bad guys and the basis for the latest LEGO Harry Potter playset. Smyths Toys Netherlands has published the first official images of 76453 Malfoy Manor, which includes 1,601 pieces and nine Wizarding World minifigures.
Among those are Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Draco Malfoy, Narcissa Malfoy, Lucius Malfoy, Dobby, Bellatrix Lestrange, Luna Lovegood and Lord Voldemort, together comprising nearly every main character you’d expect from a LEGO Malfoy Manor (which it must be said is one of the most heavily-requested LEGO Harry Potter locations).
The building itself is really more of a façade, devoting its piece count to height and width rather than depth. It makes for an impressively large structure – one slightly reminiscent of LEGO Jurassic World’s 75930 Indoraptor Rampage at Lockwood Estate – but there’s still plenty of interior detail to dig into too.
The manor cleverly incorporates the underground dungeons that held Harry, Luna and Dobby captive while Hermione was tortured upstairs, for example, while the first floor drawing room features a falling chandelier function. There’s also the Malfoys’ dining table, complete with Nagini. All that’s missing is a Charity Burbage minifigure…
