First look at LEGO Marvel 76251 Star-Lord’s Helmet calls it ‘overpriced’

The first reviews for the latest LEGO Marvel helmet – 76251 Star-Lord’s Helmet – have surfaced with one calling it overpriced.

76251 Star-Lord’s Helmet launches on April 1 for £69.99 / $79.99 / €79.99 with pre-orders available now but the early reviews for the upcoming model have surfaced online, offering us a closer look at the Guardians of the Galaxy prop recreation.

As well as giving us a look at the inside storage area of 76251 Star-Lord’s Helmet and all angles of the helmet, one review mentions that it might not be the best deal at the RRP. However, that’s regarding it as a storage container, which the open design allows for.

“You can buy a cup at the dollar store that can do the same thing so it’s hard to justify an $80 set just as a pen holder,” states MiniSuperHeroesToday

“$80 is a rip-off for this. Somewhere in the $40-$50 range would be a better deal. It’s not trash to the point that it shouldn’t exist, but it is overpriced.”

In another review, Ashnflash praises the model. “It’s remarkable, some of the parts in here and everything – just how it’s designed. I think it stands out amongst the other helmets we’ve gotten so far.”

Those looking to use 76251 Star-Lord’s Helmet primarily as storage may be better off with a less expensive container, though the detail of this build may make it a tempting offering as stated in the reviews.

Whatever purpose you plan to order 76251 Star-Lord’s Helmet for, pre-orders are open now ahead of the April 1 launch. A range of builds based on the third Guardians of the Galaxy film is also launching at the start of April.
