LEGO 76993 Sonic vs. Dr. Eggman’s Death Egg Robot officially revealed

The LEGO Group has finally lifted the curtain on 76993 Sonic vs. Dr. Eggman’s Death Egg Robot, confirming the release date and price.

The fifth LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog set was first revealed on the Kids Zone section of the LEGO website. Earlier today, it was featured at Sonic Central with a rap performed by Eggman himself.

76993 Sonic vs. Dr. Eggman’s Death Egg Robot launches on August 1, the same day as the other four LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog models, for £57.99 / $59.99 / €64.99.

76993 Sonic vs. Dr. Eggman’s Death Egg Robot offers a less expensive way to pick up the specialised Eggman figure, which is only otherwise available in 76994 Sonic’s Green Hill Zone Loop Challenge for £94.99 / $99.99 / €104.99.

It also includes the second vehicle for Eggman to battle the Blue Blur, recreating the boss from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and several other games, where its design has remained mostly consistent.

Sonic, Eggman, Cubot and two animal figures are included. The builds include the robot, a research station and a Speed Sphere with a launcher. This is the fifth Sonic the Hedgehog model and seemingly the entire selection for August 2023 has now been revealed officially.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
