The LEGO Group has promised that another brand new Ideas set will be revealed at this weekend’s inaugural LEGO CON.
The results of the We Love Sports contest are primed and ready to go, but rather than announcing them alongside today’s third 2020 review results, the Ideas team has instead decided to reveal which of the entries will be turned into an official set at LEGO CON.
While there was never any guarantee that any of the 10 finalists would actually become an official set, it seems like a pretty safe bet that at least one of them will have made the cut. Getting up on the virtual stage at LEGO CON to announce that none of them have passed would be pretty anticlimactic, after all.
You can check out the full list of finalists here. Among them are an unusually high number of brick-built figures, suggesting that may be the direction the LEGO Ideas team has chosen to head in for this one-off product ideas review.
Tune in to LEGO CON on Saturday, June 26 to find out for sure. The digital event kicks off at LEGO.com at 5pm UK time, and will also see at least one new LEGO Star Wars set revealed.
