Australian LEGO store confirms GWP details for August 1

August 1 will offer a ton of new LEGO releases come the morning, but there doesn’t appear to be a wealth of gifts-with-purchase to go with them.

As usual, the Australian LEGO store offers a sneak peek of what deals to expect for a new month. Although GWPs and promotions can often vary from region to region, so we shouldn’t take what’s on offer down under as a direct indication of what to expect, it does offer a flavour for what’s in store.

Ahead of August 1, the Australian store only reveals two new GWPs. As well as the ongoing offer of 40766 Kamino Training Facility with purchases of 75409 Jango Fett’s Starship, Australian shoppers can also get the already-revealed 40760 Adventure Peely & Cuddle Team Leader for orders over $210 (AUD) between August 1 and 8, excluding orders of 75409 Jango Fett’s Starship and 21359 Italian Riviera. That’s in line with previously reported minimum spends of $130 / €130.

That would mean that it’ll be tricky to stack the Star Wars and Fortnite GWPs, unless you’re prepared to spend $130 on LEGO on top of your purchase of 75409 Jango Fett’s Starship.

The second GWP is the return of 30701 Field Flowers, available with purchases of $40 (AUD) or more in LEGO Botanicals. Once again, the limitations there mean August is not going to be a GWP-stacking month. Still, if you’re planning to buy either one of the new LEGO Botanicals, 10372 Hibiscus or 10373 Mini Bonsai Trees, you should earn yourself an extra GWP.

It’s tricky to predict what the minimum spend for 30701 Field Flowers will be: $40 (AUD) converts to around £20, but the GWP typically comes with spends of £35 / €40/ $40 when we’ve seen it before. If it appears worldwide, we’d expect the minimum spend to be closer to £35 than £20.
