LEGO Icons 10356 U.S.S. Enterprise NCC 1701 D 31

10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D is a massive starship to construct, coming with a total of 3,600 pieces. From those elements, you’ll be able to build the vessel’s detachable saucer section with removable hangar bay and two micro shuttlepods, the stardrive hull with twin warp nacelles, a black display stand, printed information plaque, and the minifigure line-up.

The LEGO Icons model comes with a full complement of crew from Star Trek: The Next Generation, complete with signature accessories. Included are very impressive minifigures of Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Commander William Riker, Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge, Lieutenant Commander Data, Lieutenant Worf, Dr Beverly Crusher, Counsellor Deanna Troi, Guinan, and everyone’s favourite teenager, Wesley Crusher.

Star Trek fans will be able to purchase 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D from November 28 for £349.99 / $399.99 / €379.99, the same date that this year’s LEGO Black Friday event will kick off.

LEGO Insiders members who pick up 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D between November 28 and December 1 (or while stocks last) will also be able to score a bonus set to add to their collections. 40768 Type-15 Shuttlepod is a highly desirable 261-piece GWP that’s available for free with copies of the larger LEGO Icons build.

As well as being the first-ever minifigure-scale LEGO Star Trek set, the craft boasts an opening cockpit, wing doors and rear cargo hatch, as well as an exclusive minifigure in the shape of Ensign Ro Laren. 40768 Type-15 Shuttlepod won’t be sticking around for long, so we’d recommend Insiders get their 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D orders in as soon as they possibly can to secure the model.

What people are saying about 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D

Despite its hefty £349.99 / $399.99 / €379.99 price tag, some minor stability issues and a misspelt bridge sticker, most reviews and community comments regarding 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D seem to have been overwhelmingly positive.

However, as with many similar large licensed sets, the cost of obtaining the LEGO Icons model might prove to be too much for some fans, who may well decide to wait for potential future sales to see if any discounts are applied to 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D before picking up the build.

“The future of more potential LEGO Star Trek sets is still very much the undiscovered country at the moment, but how well 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D performs should hopefully be a key indicator that there are definitely dedicated fans out there who’d be willing to invest in such models, despite a cost-prohibitive point of entry for most.”

For this price, you’d think they could at least finish the ship. So many missing iconic features.

Where is O’Brien????? No Tasha Yar? Q would have also been nice. Are they saving O’Brien for their DS9 build? Does that mean double Worfs and double day? With hopefully a morn bonus figure.

I believe the BlueBeixx version look better and is priced better. I know we get minifigs from Lego but they look questionable. Do you think Lego did Star Trek fans proper with this first set?
