Bits N’ Bricks podcast wraps up original schedule with three titans of LEGO

The latest episode of the Bits N’ Bricks podcast wraps up the original schedule with a deep dive into LEGO video games, featuring interviews with three titans of LEGO.

It’s the 17th instalment in the officially-sanctioned series, which has gone far and beyond the initial list of episodes teased back in early December. But unless hosts Brain Crecente and Ethan Vincent have anything else up their sleeves, this could well be the final entry in the Bits N’ Bricks catalogue – at least for now.

If it does bow out here, the pair have saved a corker for last: featured in this episode are LEGO Games Vice President Sean McEvoy, the LEGO Group’s Chief Marketing Office Julia Goldin, and the company’s CEO Niels B. Christiansen.

Together with Polygon co-founder Crecente and documentarian Vincent, the trio of industry heavyweights reflect on the 25th anniversary of the very first LEGO game (the catalyst for the entire podcast), before charting a course for the LEGO Group as it embraces an increasingly digital world.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
