Another BrickLink Designer Program LEGO set sells out

Three of the five LEGO sets in the first round of the relaunched BrickLink Designer Program have now sold out, leaving only two available to pre-order.

SleeplessNight’s Mountain Fortress and DistractedBldr’s Snack Shack were the first two fan-designed sets to sell through their maximum allocation of 30,000 copies, the former within hours of crowdfunding going live. Mind_the_Brick’s Old Train Engine Shed has now followed suit, which means only NicolasCarlier’s Parisian Street and Ilucky’s General Store are still available to buy.

Roughly two-thirds of the Western-inspired General Store’s total available units have been claimed, while Parisian Street sits around the halfway mark. Both of those sets will be available to pre-order until either the rest of their sets are snapped up or February 28 at 8pm GMT: whichever comes first. The Parisian Street costs £259.99 / $319.99 / €289.99 for 3,532 pieces, while the General Store includes 1,906 pieces for £119.99 / $159.99 / €139.99.

If you pre-order now, the LEGO Group will place a temporary hold on your card for the required funds, but you won’t have to pay the balance until your sets ship. The LEGO Group is currently targeting a July despatch, though notes that actual shipping times may vary.

The next crowdfunding round for the BrickLink Designer Program – which originally launched as a trial in 2021 – will take place in June for the five Series 2 finalists, followed by a third round in October for the five Series 3 finalists. You can help the LEGO Group and BrickLink determine the five Series 4 finalists by showing some love for your favourite submissions in the fan vote phase right now.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
