LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 4 crowd support opens

Over 200 projects are now in the running to be one of the next LEGO BrickLink Designer Program sets as part of the fourth series of the program.

LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 4 has moved to its next phase, crowd support, asking users to have their say on 237 submissions to help determine which five designs are moving forward.

As usual, the designs on offer are varied but consist of a mix of modular buildings, trains, castles, pirates and space builds as well as less traditional models. With 237 submissions to choose between, the selection has increased from Series 3 and the emoji-based voting system is still being used with no limit on the number of votes but limited to one per design.

Here’s a quick look at some of the builds on offer, but this only covers around 5% of the full list of designs.

Crowd support lasts from today until February 16 when a review will begin to determine which five designs are moving forward. These five designs will then move to crowdfunding after a period of refinement to see if they can become LEGO BrickLink Designer Program sets.

It’s a process that you may be familiar with now as another round of crowdfunding is about to begin for Series 1. The sets for Series 4 are likely a long way off yet but the final designs for the second and third series have been confirmed ahead of their crowdfunding periods later this year.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
