Celebrate Sonic’s anniversary with double VIP points on his LEGO Ideas set

Sonic the Hedgehog is now 31 years old, and you can celebrate with double VIP points on 21331 Sonic the Hedgehog – Green Hill Zone.

In what is likely a coincidence, the latest double VIP points event has started just in time for the 31st anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog. In another act of coincidence, the blue blur’s dedicated LEGO set – with the anniversary in the number – qualifies for this deal.

There are plenty of new and older LEGO sets you can get on the official online store with double VIP points from today, June 24, until June 30. However, with the 31st anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog and free shipping on purchases of £50 / $35 / €55 or more, it’s a great time to pick up the diorama inspired by the most iconic level of the franchise.

The build in 21331 Sonic the Hedgehog – Green Hill Zone consists of a recreation of a segment of Green Hill Zone complete with a checkpoint, loop, floating platform, bridge and more. Two badniks can be placed throughout the brick-built zone and you can customise which power-up is available on the two provided monitors.

Rounding out the set is the first LEGO Dr Eggman with Eggmobile on a stand, a display with all of the Chaos Emeralds and the most detailed Sonic minifigure yet, and the only one you can still get outside of his initial LEGO Dimensions Level Pack.

With all that in mind, until June 30 you can get a total of 960 VIP points on 21331 Sonic the Hedgehog – Green Hill Zone on the official online store to celebrate the Blue Blur’s 31st anniversary.
