Potential colour change for rumoured LEGO Star Wars 75354 Republic Gunship

The rumoured LEGO Star Wars 75354 Republic Gunship may be getting something of a unique colour change compared to previous releases.

The most recent report regarding rumoured LEGO Star Wars sets for 2023 included a key additional detail surrounding one such potential model. It had been previously suggested that 75354 Republic Gunship could be arriving on September 1 as a 1,083-piece build that may retail for €149.99.

Initial information for the build stated that the ship might be a Coruscant-based version of the vehicle and include minifigures of Chancellor Palpatine, Clone Commander Fox, two Coruscant Shock Troopers and Padmé Amidala. The potential piece count of the LEGO Star Wars set could suggest a much smaller model than 75309 Republic Gunship, with the Ultimate Collector Series set clocking in at a whopping 3,292 pieces.

The most recent rumour added more fuel to the fire by suggesting 75354 Republic Gunship may be based on a version of the ship utilised by the Coruscant Guard. As such, it might therefore be constructed primarily from dark red and white elements, contrasting with the more familiar green, red and white look of previous iterations.

A version of the Republic Gunship most recently appeared in Chapter 20 of Star Wars: the Mandalorian Season 3. The craft was seen in a flashback to a prequel-era Coruscant pursuing Jedi Master Kelleran Beq as he attempted to rescue a younger Grogu from the devastating effects of Order 66.

The LEGO Group has yet to confirm the existence of 75354 Republic Gunship, so do treat all such information as pure speculation for now.
