Shining crown recreation joins LEGO Ideas first 2023 review

LEGO Ideas has another project in the first 2023 review, this time proposing a royal recreation of a shining piece of Danish history.

Submitted by Piraten in February 2021, The Crown – A Piece of History has joined the first 2023 LEGO Ideas review. The project depicts a crown based on the crown of King Christian V of Denmark, recreated almost entirely with LEGO bricks and jewels.

This recreation uses around 2,000 pieces of gold, grey and transparent colours and took Piraten a month and a half to gather the necessary elements and build it.

As well as the 2,000 LEGO bricks used in the recreation, a red fabric is also utilised at the centre, though this could be swapped for even more bricks in an official set, though at the cost of a higher price.

Piraten’s project joins the first 2023 review as the fourth project in the round, though another has followed close behind it.
