WATCH: This Doctor Seuss LEGO Ideas project is super-zooper

2023’s first LEGO Ideas project to pass the 10K mark is a super-zooper Dr. Seuss project that’s sure to be a lark – if it impresses the review board, that is.

Theodor Suess Geisel – better known by his pen name, Dr. Seuss – wrote and illustrated more than 60 children’s books during his career, from How The Grinch Stole Christmas and The Cat in the Hat to Horton Hears a Who! and The Lorax. Boiling all that down into a single LEGO set is no mean feat, but the latest LEGO Ideas project to reach 10,000 votes is giving it a pretty good go.

This is also the first project to reach the first 2023 review, locking down its 10,000th vote just after the qualifying window for the third 2022 review slammed shut. You can take a closer look at the build in our latest YouTube video, which has a delightful surprise for Dr. Seuss fans.

You’ll find the same rhythmic narration over on TikTok, but hurry: you’re up against the clock. (Not really. That just rhymed. Like Dr. Seuss! Get it?) Don’t forget to give us a follow, or you might end up feeling pretty hollow. (We’ll stop now.)

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
