Every LEGO Ideas set in production – January 2024
January 2024 has been a busy time for LEGO Ideas with the reveal of two sets, but there’s still plenty to look forward to from the fan-inspired theme.
LEGO Ideas’ range of fan-designed builds turned official sets looks likely to grow quite a bit in 2024. Already, there are two official releases to look forward to thanks to 21346 Family Tree and 21347 Red London Telephone Box, the former of which is available to pre-order now. This has, in turn, removed them from the list of LEGO Ideas sets in production. While they have yet to be released, don’t expect any changes to the designs in the next week.
Rumours suggest that this is just the start of an exciting year as several are reported for release. While we don’t know which projects these rumoured sets could be, the nature of LEGO Ideas means that we know which submissions are coming eventually. It’s just a matter of time.
In chronological order of when they were announced to have been approved or otherwise picked for an official model, here’s every LEGO Ideas set in production as of January 2024.
Dragon’s Keep: Journey’s End

As the winner of the LEGO Ideas Dungeons and Dragons 50th-anniversary contest, which is being celebrated in 2024, Dragon’s Keep: Journey’s End by BoltBuilds should delight tabletop roleplaying game and LEGO Castle enthusiasts alike. The initial submission proposes a castle run on a mountain complete with a tavern, beach, underground dungeon and an incredibly detailed dragon. Rumour has it that it could launch in April, but nothing has been officially confirmed.
The Nightmare Before Christmas

Following debut minifigures for Jack Skellington and Sally in a LEGO Disney minifigure series, Simon Scott’s The Nightmare Before Christmas was approved in the second 2022 review. The 30th anniversary of the movie may have passed but this timeless animated classic could be an appropriate LEGO Ideas set for any Halloween season. The unique architecture of Halloween Town has been captured with all manner of angles and elements to best recreate Tim Burton’s work.
Jaws

The Jaws project by Johnny Campbell was chosen for a LEGO Ideas set in the third 2022 review. 2024 could be a good time to unveil and launch this model as it’s the 50th anniversary of the book that inspired the iconic movie as well as the 50th anniversary of when filming started. Whatever happens, the submission proposes a detailed recreation of the shark as well as the Orca fishing boat.
Cat

Now that the curtain has been lifted on the new LEGO Fauna Collection with 31211 Macaw Parrots –The Fauna Collection and 10331 Kingfisher Bird, the LEGO Group’s focus on animals could continue with at least one more model this year. June is the rumoured release window for Damian Andres’s upcoming LEGO Ideas Cat set, though you should take that with a pinch of salt for now. As expected from the name, the model depicts a near-life-size sculpture of a cat, specifically a Siamese-Birman cross.
Reading, Reading, Reading

Upcoming LEGO Ideas sets don’t just have to be widely-released models. Some contests can lead to new LEGO Ideas gifts-with-purchase and that’s exactly what happened to FR_AN’s Reading, Reading, Reading for Singles’ Day. This book-centric model is scheduled to be a GWP at some point in the future, but exactly when we’ll be able to qualify for it is unknown.
Disney Magic

Also winning a challenge, but not for a GWP model, 2A2A’s Disney Magic celebrates the 100th anniversary of Disney but will arrive long after the official celebrations have ended. Still, a Disney-centric display model is appropriate for any time of year and proposes some rare and new Disney minifigures as inclusions too.
Twilight: Cullen House

Mansions are all the rage behind the scenes at the LEGO Group at the moment as we could see Nick Micheels’ Twilight: Cullen House on shelves alongside 42639 Andrea’s Modern Mansion in the future. The proposed project could be a very different set to that of the LEGO Friends mansion though, focusing on the story and characters from Twilight in a forest home.
The Botanical Garden

Also chosen for a LEGO Ideas set alongside the Twilight model, Valentina Bima’s The Botanical Garden is the first modular LEGO Ideas submission to be approved for a set, though it’s not like anything in the official street so far. Whether or not it will retain the pavement and lampposts has yet to be seen, though it helps to differentiate it from 41757 Botanical Garden.
