Every LEGO NINJAGO City set from 2017 to 2025 combined

The LEGO NINJAGO City collection expands later this year with a much smaller entry than usual, but they still look great when combined.

71837 NINJAGO City Workshops has been officially revealed, launching on March 1, 2025, and you can take a closer look at the new set by clicking here. This takes the growing NINJAGO City range up to five sets measuring seven full baseplates or 179.2cm wide not including any overhanging elements.

These five sets can be arranged in many different combinations and despite it being a corner entry in the collection, 71837 NINJAGO City Workshops can work well in the city display, even for those who only have a wider straight shelf to display them on.

For the below combination images, we’ve sourced side-view pictures of the NINJAGO City sets from official imagery as well as Fantasmall for 71741 NINJAGO City Gardens, Stas’ Mecabricks recreations of 70620 NINJAGO City and 70657 NINJAGO City Docks.

One of the best ways to display 71837 NINJAGO City Workshops alongside the rest of the range is arguably to place it directly next to the shrine island in 71741 NINJAGO City Gardens, which was retired at the end of last year.

The shrine Island section of 71741 NINJAGO City Gardens has no upper bridge section above it and is designed to sit to the left of the main structure with two removable balconies provided to close off the upper walkways in the anniversary build.

As such, it leaves an already open section in the city unless you leave the shrine island to the side altogether. Thankfully, 71837 NINJAGO City Workshops can help it blend in much better. Despite the 2025 set’s upper walkway curving around as a corner entry would, the new build has smaller floor sections jutting out from its base with attachment points on every side of the baseplate, meaning it can function as a straight entry with varied results

These smaller floor sections are nine studs from the closest corner, just as the shrine island’s small ground floor bridges are towards the back of the half-baseplate build. Attaching 71837 NINJAGO City Workshops next to the open island section should make the open space with no upper walkways at the front bigger and more cohesive overall.

This idea should display 71741 NINJAGO City Gardens as a more distinct district in the city with an open area that was already going to be present now being bigger and making more sense in the grand scheme. By removing the bridge and stone section on the left of the shrine and filling in the water, it will look even better.

There’s no wrong way to display the LEGO NINJAGO City collection whatever you decide to do. While it is five sets strong at the time of writing, only 71799 NINJAGO City Markets is currently available ahead of 71837 NINJAGO City Workshops‘ release next month.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
