Every LEGO Star Wars set rumoured for 2024 – October update

From midi-scale ships to wildcard fan-favourite minifigures, the 25th anniversary of LEGO Star Wars is shaping up to be something special. Here’s a rundown of every rumoured set for 2024 so far…

Next year marks 25 years since the LEGO Star Wars line debuted alongside The Phantom Menace, representing a dual anniversary in a galaxy far, far away. Just how much will the first prequel movie factor into the LEGO Group’s 2024 line-up, and what plans does it have to celebrate its own theme turning a quarter of a century old? These are the questions on the minds of LEGO Star Wars fans, and the rumour mill is starting to churn out some answers.

What follows is a round-up of every single LEGO Star Wars set currently rumoured to be on the cards for 2024, pulled from sources including Promobricks, Max Börnicke, 1414falconfan and Brickmerge. While these sources have generally proved to be reliable in the past, nothing here should be considered explicitly confirmed until officially revealed by the LEGO Group.

30680 AAT

Price: TBC Pieces: 74 Release date: January 1, 2024

Next year’s LEGO Star Wars polybag is rumoured to revisit the AAT, though whether that’s in Trade Federation or CIS colours has yet to be revealed. If 30680 AAT arrives as expected, the tiny build will only further fuel speculation around a larger AAT to accompany it, as the last few LEGO Star Wars polybags have all been tied to a playset or UCS version of the same vehicle…

40675 & 40676 [BrickHeadz]

Price: TBC Pieces: TBC Release date: May 2024

There’s no word yet on which characters either of the two rumoured LEGO Star Wars BrickHeadz sets supposedly launching in May (numbered 40675 and 40676) will depict, but considering 2024 marks the 25th anniversary of The Phantom Menace, we wouldn’t be surprised to see the LEGO Group pull on that particular thread – especially as it celebrated Return of the Jedi’s 40th anniversary in 2023 with 40623 Battle of Endor Heroes.

40686 [GWP]

Qualifying spend: TBC Pieces: TBC Release date: May 2024

There are only three sure things in life: death, taxes and a May the 4th LEGO Star Wars promo. Next year’s will apparently be numbered 40686, but little else is rumoured about it beyond that. The door is open to absolutely anything at this point, though – it could be a minifigure-scale vignette like 2022’s 40531 Lars Family Homestead Kitchen, a display model like this year’s 40591 Death Star II, or something else entirely.

75372 Clone Trooper & Battle Droid Battle Pack

Price: €29.99 Pieces: 215 Release date: January 1, 2024

January’s LEGO Star Wars battle pack is slated to resurrect a long-missing minifigure, bringing Super Battle Droids back into the fold for the first time since 2015. There will reportedly be three in the box, alongside two standard Battle Droids, three plain white Clone Troopers and a Coruscant Guard Clone Trooper (as previously seen in this year’s 75354 Coruscant Guard Gunship).

The accompanying builds are said to include a two-seater speeder bike and turret, perhaps in a nod to 2007’s 7655 Clone Trooper Battle Pack, along with an Octuptarra droid. The price of 75372 Clone Trooper & Battle Droid Battle Pack is pitched a little higher than recent battle packs, but the contents place it closer to 2020’s 75280 501st Legion Clone Troopers than 75359 332nd Ahsoka’s Clone Trooper Battle Pack.

75374 Skeleton Crew Ship

Price: €139.99 Pieces: 1,325 Release date: January 1, 2024

The LEGO Group is rumoured to be going all-out for Disney’s latest Star Wars show Skeleton Crew, devoting a huge 1,325-piece set to the main ship from the new series. With no release date confirmed for the Jude Law-fronted live-action show as yet, though – and rumours of delays circling – 75374 Skeleton Crew Ship might not yet meet its original expected shelf date of January 1.

75375 Millennium Falcon

Price: €84.99 Pieces: 921 Release date: March 1, 2024

What’s that? Another Millennium Falcon? You bet: but where 75257 Millennium Falcon aims for playset territory and 75192 Millennium Falcon delivers for adults with space (and money) to spare, 75375 Millennium Falcon will reportedly skewer the same midi-scale format as this year’s 75356 Executor Super Star Destroyer. The latest reports suggest it will sit on a display stand, complete with a LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary brick.

75376 Tantive IV

Price: €79.99 Pieces: 654 Release date: March 1, 2024

The second of three midi-scale LEGO Star Wars sets rumoured for 2024, 75376 Tantive IV is also expected to arrive with a display stand and a special anniversary brick. If it’s anything like the Return of the Jedi 40th anniversary or Clone Wars 20th anniversary bricks in 2023, chances are good that piece will be printed rather than stickered.

75377 Invisible Hand

Price: €52.99 Pieces: 502 Release date: TBC

While we had to wait several years for the LEGO Star Wars Helmet Collection to broach the prequel trilogy, the midi-scale collection will seemingly do so during only its second year on shelves (and in its first full wave of sets). 75377 Invisible Hand is rumoured to recreate General Grievous’s flagship cruiser from Revenge of the Sith’s opening scenes, and is even said to split in two – referencing its fate in the Battle of Coruscant.

75378 Grogu’s Escape

Price: €29.99 Pieces: TBC Release date: May 1, 2024

With so many series, movies and anniversaries to juggle, the LEGO Star Wars team could be forgiven for letting one or two properties slip by. But they’re not about to leave behind The Mandalorian, especially as the designers can now freely move into spoiler territory for Season 3. 75378 Grogu’s Escape will apparently depict Kelleran Beq rescuing the youngling from the Jedi temple in the show’s flashback scenes. There’s no word yet on a complete minifigure line-up, but a Coruscant Guard Clone Trooper or two would be welcome.

75379 R2-D2

Price: €99.99 Pieces: 1,050 Release date: March 1, 2024

Here’s where things get really interesting, and not necessarily because of the build: alongside a smaller and more accessible take on 2021’s 75308 R2-D2, 75379 R2-D2 is said to include minifigures of both the eponymous astromech droid and… Darth Malak. The Knights of the Old Republic Sith Lord is rumoured to be one of multiple characters inserted into 2024 sets to celebrate LEGO Star Wars’ 25th anniversary.

The buildable droid itself will apparently retain many of the features and functions of its bigger sibling (despite its reduced piece count and price tag), including an articulated head, periscope, third leg, tools and even an info plaque.

75380 Boonta Eve Podrace Diorama

Price: €79.99 Pieces: 718 Release date: May 1, 2024

Currently the only LEGO Star Wars diorama rumoured for 2024 (though that could easily change), 75380 Boonta Eve Podrace Diorama will seemingly mark The Phantom Menace’s 25th anniversary with what will presumably be a microscale build, akin to 75329 Death Star Trench Run Diorama.

Finer details have yet to be revealed, but with that piece count and price tag, it’s unlikely to be minifigure scale – unless the LEGO Group has opted for a clever forced perspective build that places microscale podracers in front of a minifigure-scale viewing area. We can only dream…

75381 Droideka

Price: €64.99 Pieces: TBC Release date: May 1, 2024

Buildable characters are still in vogue in Billund, with the next slated to be 75381 Droideka. This particular Trade Federation droid feels like a perfect fit for this format, but questions remain: will it be able to curl up into a ball? Will it arrive in a giant trans-blue sphere to replicate its deflector shield? And will we finally see another minifigure-scale Droideka to accompany it? All unknowns for now, but there’s a lot of potential here…

75382 TIE Interceptor

Price: €239.99 Pieces: TBC Release date: May 1, 2024

The first LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series set arriving in 2024 is rumoured to be 75382 TIE Interceptor, which would be another remake of one of the earliest UCS sets following hot on the heels of this year’s 75355 X-wing Starfighter. Our last TIE Interceptor at this scale debuted all the way back in 2000, so an update is long overdue at this point.

75384 The Crimson Firehawk

Price: €52.99 Pieces: 136 Release date: January 1, 2024

If that price point and piece count together seem alarming, it’s at least with good reason: 75384 The Crimson Firehawk is said to be a 4+ set based on the Disney+ series Young Jedi Adventures, so you can expect plenty of large, unique moulds in the box to allow for a simpler building experience. Whether any parent would want to spend €50+ on a LEGO set for a four-year-old is another question entirely.

75387 Tantive IV Hallway

Price: €54.99 Pieces: 502 Release date: March 1, 2024

Initially thought to be a diorama, 75387 Tantive IV Hallway is now rumoured to be a playset akin to 75324 Dark Trooper Attack, with functions including exploding blast doors and the ability to knock over a minifigure. You’ll apparently also be able to connect multiple sets together right out of the box for a longer and more impressive hallway (as long as you’ve got deep pockets).

The minifigure selection is mostly what you’d expect – Darth Vader, Captain Antilles, two Stormtrooper and two Rebel Fleet Troopers – with the exception of Clone Trooper Fives, who will apparently be included as a 25th-anniversary minifigure. So if you do buy multiple sets to connect together, you’ll end up with a surplus of named characters to sell to recoup some of your cash back. Maybe you won’t need deep pockets after all…

75373, 75383, 75385 and 75386

Price: TBC Pieces: TBC Release date: TBC

Nothing is known yet about these four remaining sets, which could literally be anything. (As long as it’s to do with Star Wars, obvs.) Chances are good that there’s another diorama in here – the two previous waves included multiple sets – while at least one might be based on later episodes of The Mandalorian Season 3 or Ahsoka. For now, your guess is as good as ours – but fingers crossed there are a sprinkling of other obscure characters among them for LEGO Star Wars’ 25th anniversary.

Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
