Star Wars Celebration returns to ExCel London today for the first time since 2016, bringing a galaxy far, far away to Europe once more. There’s plenty to get excited about across the weekend, too, kicking off with a packed Friday that has the potential to reshape the future of Star Wars as we know it.

Dive into a full breakdown of the biggest panels happening today below, and don’t forget that you can watch most of the event from home with the official Star Wars Celebration live stream. That gets underway at 1pm UK time, and will include select panels and all the action from the LIVE! stage, where we’re sure to see more than a few celebrity guests.

Star Wars Celebration 2023 kicks off with potentially the biggest panel of the weekend, which is currently rumoured to feature new trailers for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny and Star Wars: Ahsoka, along with confirmation of three brand new Star Wars films – one of which may be directed by The Mandalorian co-writer and Star Wars guru Dave Filoni.

This one won’t be streamed outside of the convention, but we’ll have all the latest updates right here on Brick Fanatics. After all, the future of Star Wars will dictate the future of LEGO Star Wars, too…

London Calling: Designing Star Wars Productions in the UK

When: 1pm-2pm Where: Twin Suns Stage

We probably won’t learn anything new from this panel, but it’s sure to be an interesting one for Star Wars fans: host Amy Ratcliffe will be joined by set decorator Lee Sandales, concept designer Jake Lunt Davies, costume designer Glyn Dillon and production designer Kevin Jenkins to talk bringing the Star Wars universe to life on-screen. There’s a good chance this one will be live streamed.

The Making of Andor Season One

When: 3pm-4pm Where: Star Wars Celebration Stage (streamed to the Galaxy and Twin Suns Stages)

Lauded by critics and fans alike as one of the best Star Wars series yet, Andor arrived on Disney+ last year to widespread acclaim. In this hour-long panel, show creator Tony Gilroy and star Diego Luna join a team of creatives to discuss the making of the first season. If we’re lucky, we might just get a hint or two about Season 2. There’s no confirmation yet on whether this panel will be streamed.

There’s plenty more going on at Star Wars Celebration today, so head over to the official convention website for a full breakdown of every single panel.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
