First LEGO City 2027 rumours include F1, space, trains and more

The first list of LEGO City sets rumoured for 2027 includes a variety of planes, trains and automobiles, alongside Formula 1, space and police models.

According to a list of sets published by StoneWars (via unibricks), Formula 1 is back on the menu for LEGO City in 2027, alongside a fresh wave of police sets, a new passenger train and more. Check out the full list in the table below, then keep reading for the main takeaways.

LEGO City 2027 sets

A new passenger train

2022’s 60337 Express Passenger Train.

The LEGO Group has diversified its locomotive portfolio over the past couple of years with sets hooked to the police, arctic explorers and more, but it sounds like it’s going back to its roots in 2027 with 60536 High Speed Electric Passenger Train. This would be the first of its kind since 2022’s 60337 Express Passenger Train, which is scheduled to retire at the end of 2026.

As well as new sets for Aston Martin, Williams and more, the F1 LEGO City line-up for 2027 includes what would be the first Cadillac racer in 60526 F1 Alpine & Cadillac Race Cars. That would complete the current grid following this year’s 60493 F1 Display Truck with Audi F1 Race Car.

A modular police station

2022’s 60316 Police Station.

This probably isn’t modular in the sense you’re thinking of, a la 10278 Police Station, because it’s only expected to retail for $109.99 – but there’s still a lot of promise in 60535 Modular Police Station. With an increased budget over 2022’s 60316 Police Station, which retails for $69.99, here’s hoping for something a bit more substantial.

Tiny vehicles

At the top of that table are four sets rumoured to cost just $9.99 apiece, and a couple of them sound like tiny takes on existing sets in 60513 The LEGO Van and 60514 Garbage Recycling Truck. It’ll be interesting to see how the LEGO City team condenses them to that size, while 60515 Popcorn Tuk Tuk just sounds delightful from the name alone.

Spaceship, spaceship, spaceship!

Turns out LEGO City’s space subtheme hasn’t headed out into orbit for good just yet, as 60539 Interstellar Space Shuttle will reportedly keep it alive and kicking in 2027. At $24.99, we may be looking at a direct replacement for 60430 Interstellar Spaceship, which retires at the end of 2026.
