First LEGO NINJAGO summer 2024 sets revealed

Amazon Mexico has revealed the first three LEGO NINJAGO summer 2024 sets, including one with an exciting assortment of minifigures.

As The Brick Fan reports, Amazon Mexico have listings for three of the previously rumoured LEGO NINJAGO summer 2024 sets, revealing their contents, piece counts and some new minifigures.

Prices and release dates have yet to be officially confirmed, though rumours suggest that they’re coming soon. More models are rumoured too but so far, this is all that has been revealed.

71818 Tournament Battle Arena

Price: TBC Pieces: 659 Release date: TBC

71818 Tournament Battle Arena is rumoured to be the least expensive of the trio but it’s arguably the most exciting for longtime NINJAGO enthusiasts. This arena includes a statue of what could be Sensei Wu or the First Spinjitzu Master at the back holding a scroll and a new small dragon element.

Six minifigures are included to fight in the area including Sora, Kai, a Wolf Mask Warrior with a newly-colour mask, Cinder with a smoke trail piece and two more. The last two minifigures are the highlight of the set as Jay is back but is now dubbed ‘Evil Jay’ on the box art, suggesting that he’s switching sides for one reason or another. The show might have revealed why he would take this path, but we won’t delve into spoilers for the second season here.

Tox is also back with her first official LEGO NINJAGO minifigure. The Elemental Master of Poison previously shared a design with an Ultra Agents minifures that has long since retired but finally she’s back in the show with her first minifigure in the theme. It even uses Storm’s hair from 71039 Marvel Series 2.

71820 Ninja Team Combo Vehicle

Price: TBC Pieces: 576 Release date: TBC

Seemingly inspired by the Ultra Sonic Raider is 71820 Ninja Team Combo Vehicle also with six minifigures but a smaller piece count than 71818 Tournament Battle Arena. The six minifigures are Cole, Lloyd, Nya and Sora as well as two Wolf Mask Warriors featuring a new claw element that is also included in 71818 Tournament Battle Arena.

The vehicle can split into four vehicles including a tank, two bikes and a glider with stud shooters. It’s also worth noting that Sora’s minifigure in both 71818 Tournament Battle Arena and 71820 Ninja Team Combo Vehicle use her recent hair piece from 71810 Young Dragon Riyu, making it much more common.

71821 Cole’s Titan Dragon Mech

Price: TBC Pieces: 1,055 Release date: TBC

71821 Cole’s Titan Dragon Mech is, as stated in the images, the biggest LEGO NINJAGO set so far at 1,055 pieces. Not including the side build, this just beats 71765 Ninja Ultra Combo Mech as that model totals 1,104 pieces with a hefty model on the side.

This mech has posable arms, legs, a head and a body as well as an exclusive Mech Cole minifigure donning a stylish white and orange outfit that seems to be a mix of NINJAGO, anime and Exo-Force. The mech’s giant weapon reuses the wing element from 10327 Dune Atreides Royal Ornithopter.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
