First look at five LEGO Technic 2025 sets for the skies and seas

Five LEGO Technic 2025 sets have been revealed early by an online retailer, giving us a first look at brick-built sets for the skies and seas.

With January 1 just one month away, more and more reveals of soon-to-come LEGO sets are trickling through, with five LEGO Technic sets now revealed by JB Spielwaren. That confirms European prices, piece counts, and offers us the first official look at the wave. Read on for details of all five upcoming LEGO Technic builds.

42197 Backhoe Loader

Price: $12.99 / €9.99 Pieces: 104 Release date: January 1, 2025

The first and smallest set from the wave is 42197 Backhoe Loader, a 104-piece constriction site build priced at €9.99 in Europe. With a working arm and wheels, you can act out the very first building site with young builders, introducing them to the LEGO Technic theme.

42198 Bush Plane

Price: $26.99 / €27.99 Pieces: 333 Release date: January 1, 2025

Taking to the skies next, 42198 Bush Plane includes 333 pieces for its €27.99 price tag. With two sets of wings and a front propeller, you can have the build come into land on its landing wheels, or soar the skies (with a healthy dash of imagination) on its white and black frame.

42199 Monster Jam DIGatron Pull-Back

Price: $26.99 / €27.99 Pieces: 218 Release date: January 1, 2025

Returning to the construction site, 42199 Monster Jam DIGatron Pull-Back is one of two sets in this wave with a pull-back function, so you can really see the vehicle pick up some speed. Made up of 218 pieces, it also features authentic JCB branding for a price of €27.99.

42200 Monster Jam ThunderROARus Pull-Back

Price: $26.99 / €27.99 Pieces: 232 Release date: January 1, 2025

The second pull-back set from this wave, 42200 Monster Jam ThunderROARus Pull-Back is also priced at €27.99 for 232 pieces this time. It has a similar silhouette as the previous set but this time focused on Monster Trucks, with oversized wheels and a unique livery.

42201 Deep Sea Research Submarine

Price: $36.99 / €39.99 Pieces: 413 Release date: January 1, 2025

Jumping up a price point and about 200 bricks, 42201 Deep Sea Research Submarine journeys to the deepest parts of the ocean, with a fetching blue paint job to blend in. Made up of413 pieces, it has a transparent observation room along with various wheels and jets to propel it to the bottom of the ocean floor.
