First look at rumoured LEGO NINJAGO Forbidden Five minifigures

The NINJAGO Forbidden Five villains have been revealed, with all but two minifigures released yet rumoured for future LEGO NINJAGO sets.

The first teaser for the next season of LEGO NINJAGO: Dragons Rising has finally shown off the Forbidden Five, including the two remaining characters that are rumoured to receive minifigures this summer. The season is confirmed to be released starting on April 17, but we already know quite a lot about these characters.

The Forbidden Five consist of Kur, Drix, Rox, Zarkt and Nokt. Nokt, Rox, Drix and Zarkt have already appeared in officially revealed sets and the animated series. Despite most of the Forbidden Five being cloaked in the last season of the show, we know what four of the five named characters look like.

The process of elimination dictates that the figure to the left, dressed in wrappings, is Kur. While their design is similar to that of a mummy or ghost, Chris Wyatt has confirmed that these villains are all from tribes in the Wyldness – the same realm as Chima where everyone so far has been an anthropomorphic animal or insect.

Kur’s minifigure is stated to be included in a single NINJAGO set this summer and their design doesn’t appear to require any new elements to match the show. It’s worth noting that he is the only member of the five to have a printed arm, which may not make it to their inevitable physical minifigure. Rox’s mask on the other hand may require a new piece unless it’s going to be printed on the head physically.

Knowing what the Forbidden Five look like doesn’t make their upcoming antagonistic role in NINJAGO any less exciting and hopefully, Rox and Kur will appear in future LEGO sets in due course to complete the quintet. LEGO NINJAGO is rumoured to have a busy year ahead and it all continues on April 17 with the start of Dragons Rising Season 3.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
