First look at six future LEGO sets coming tomorrow

We’ll be getting our first look at six future LEGO sets tomorrow thanks to an exciting day for the BrickLink Designer Program and LEGO Ideas.

Technically, six LEGO sets will be confirmed tomorrow via LEGO Ideas and BrickLink with a major challenge opening its fan vote and the next series of the BrickLink Designer Program undergoing a similar phase. While the official set designs for the six models are likely months away still, we’ll at least know the basis for the builds tomorrow.

It’s also worth noting that we won’t know specifically what the six sets are tomorrow, as the fan vote phase for the challenge and program means that hundreds of models are likely to be shown off – but within that selection will be six future official models.

LEGO Ideas ’90s Throwback: The Opening Act

The fan vote for the LEGO Ideas ’90s Throwback: The Opening Act challenge will officially open tomorrow after the judges have decided which five projects of nearly 200 will be moving forward and be in contention for a future franchise-inspired set.

We’ve picked out five of these projects that stand a good chance of being selected and thankfully there’s not long to wait until we can see whether we are correct. The exact time for the start of the fan vote has not been determined aside from being at some point on February 10, 2025. Once it is open, head over to LEGO Ideas, pick your preferred project and hope that it’s the most popular since that will be a future set.

Also occurring tomorrow is the crowd support phase of Series 7 of the BrickLink Designer Program, starting at 12pm Pacific Time. This is when the BrickLink team will reveal the dozens to hundreds of projects that have been approved for the program, leaving the community to have their say on what they like, which will influence which five models are picked to become future sets.

The five Series 7 sets won’t be confirmed until March 17, but we will see them tomorrow even though we won’t know that they are destined to be official builds. Click here to see everything confirmed for the various BrickLink Designer Program series so far.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
