First trailer for Batman: Caped Crusader animated series revealed

Prime Video has released a first-look trailer for its upcoming Batman: Caped Crusader animated series arriving later this summer.

Fans of the Dark Knight’s exploits have something to look forward to on August 1, 2024, when Batman: Caped Crusader Season 1 arrives on Prime Video. The all-new animated series has been executive-produced by J.J. Abrams, The Batman director Matt Reeves and original Batman: The Animated Series co-creator Bruce Timm.

Following a recent initial look at the upcoming TV show, Prime Video has now revealed a first trailer for Batman: Caped Crusader, giving fans a sneak peek of what they can expect from the show.

Batman: Caped Crusader is essentially the spiritual successor to Batman: The Animated Series, but will instead be set in the 1940s and emulate the look of Bruce Wayne’s alter ego based on the character’s first appearance in Detective Comics # 27.

The Batman: Caped Crusader trailer not only gives fans a taste of what’s to come, but also showcases a mix of old and new villains. In the footage can be seen Catwoman, Firefly, the original Clayface, the Penguin, Two-Face, Green Arrow villain Onomatopoeia and an Asian-American take on Harley Quinn.

A pair of LEGO DC models based on Batman: The Animated Series have already dropped this year, with 76271 Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City and 76274 Batman with the Batmobile vs. Harley Quinn and Mr. Freeze both still available to purchase at the time of this writing.

Batman: Caped Crusader Season 1 will be launching on Prime Video for all subscribers from August 1, 2024.
