Five details you may have missed in LEGO 40506 Fabuland Tribute

LEGO 40506 Fabuland Tribute pays homage to the classic theme of yesteryear and features five details that you may not have spotted.

Children of the 1980s will no doubt be overjoyed today to learn of the imminent arrival of 40506 LEGO Fabuland Tribute. The sixth set in the exclusive LEGO House series launches at the Billund, Denmark location on March 1, 2025, where it will retail for 649 DKK.

Consisting of 1,026 pieces, 40506 LEGO Fabuland Tribute is a brick-built homage to the long-since discontinued theme, one that includes more than a few nods to its animal-based citizens.

With that in mind, here are five details you may have missed in the official images of the upcoming LEGO House set released to date.

1 – Stickered tile

The Edward Elephant figure is holding a baton in one hand, to conduct his Fabuland chums, and a stickered tile in the other. The image on the latter piece depicts the four characters from the set standing in front of the LEGO House, complete with Fabuland-style windows.

2 – Poseable characters

All four of 40506 LEGO Fabuland Tribute’s animal characters are poseable, with each having moveable heads, arms and legs. In addition, an image on the side of the model’s box reveals that it’s also possible to turn the green stands that the figures are on, offering up multiple display options.

3 – Display stand and printed nameplate

As with the four of the previous LEGO House exclusive sets, 40506 LEGO Fabuland Tribute comes with a distinctive black display base onto which the rest of the build is assembled. Another familiar touch from those releases is a printed nameplate, which is attached to the front of the model.

4 – Fabuland tree

As well as the four animal characters, 40506 LEGO Fabuland Tribute also comes with a green brick-built tree. This part of the LEGO House set replicates the single-piece element that appeared in a number of past LEGO Fabuland models, sometimes with printed red apples around the seven holes.

5 – Minifigure head drumsticks

Three of the 40506 LEGO Fabuland Tribute animals come with their own brick-based instruments, but one is constructed from some very familiar pieces. The top of each of Joe Crow’s drumsticks is in fact a yellow minifigure head, a subtle nod to LEGO Fabuland’s diminutive cousins.
