Five LEGO Batman Classic TV Series Batmobile details only fans will spot

The upcoming LEGO 76328 Batman: The Classic TV Series Batmobile pays homage to the 1960’s vehicle and is packed with plenty of details for fans to find.

The LEGO Group this week revealed 76328 Batman: The Classic TV Series Batmobile, a 1,822-piece recreation of the Caped Crusader’s ride that launches on October 1. The upcoming LEGO Batman set is priced at £129.99 / $149.99 / €149.99 and is based on the memorable version of the vehicle that appeared in the 1960’s show, starring Adam West and Burt Ward.

The good news for Bat-fans is that 76328 Batman: The Classic TV Series Batmobile looks to be a fairly accurate interpretation of the iconic crimefighting car, one that’s packed with plenty of nods to the TV series. With that in mind, here are five details we’ve already managed to spot in the official images of the LEGO Batman build released so far.

5 – Bat-Computer

Hidden inside the opening trunk (or boot) of 76328 Batman: The Classic TV Series Batmobile is a portable Mobile Crime Computer. This handy gadget allowed the Dark Knight to analyse data and evidence on the go, thanks to an on-board link to the main Batcomputer in the Batcave.

4 – Batbeam

In the 1960’s Batman TV show, the Batbeam was able to extend vertically to detect and disarm explosives, as well as cut through solid steel doors with an energy ray. We don’t yet know if the gold pieces used to construct the gadget on the hood of 76328 Batman: The Classic TV Series Batmobile can be raised in some way, but we’re keeping our fan fingers crossed.

3 – Bat gadgets and controls

An official video accompanying the listing for 76328 Batman: The Classic TV Series Batmobile shows a clear shot of the vehicle’s dashboard. Amongst the many devices glimpsed in the LEGO Batman set are what look to be stickers for the Batscanner, Start Button, Bat Ram and a speedometer on the Batmobile’s steering wheel, as well as a printed compass.

A fire extinguisher can also be spotted between the driver and passenger seats of the superhero model, along with a police siren and light on top of the Batmobile, emergency strobe lights and rocket launchers. While the rear of the vehicle does feature a (sadly) flameless jet exhaust and stickered nail spreader device, the front appears to lack the car’s nose-mounted chain slicer and Batram.

2 – Bat Phone

Tucked below the 76328 Batman: The Classic TV Series Batmobile’s main control panel is yet another iconic Bat gadget. Located between the vehicle’s seats is the bright red Bat Phone (minus batwings), identical to the one found in stately Wayne Manor and with a direct line to Commissioner Gordon at Gotham City police headquarters.

1 – No Robin minifigure

Alas, only one half of the Dynamic Duo is included with 76328 Batman: The Classic TV Series Batmobile. The LEGO Batman build comes with a stylised 1966 Batman minifigure, complete with updated torso and head prints, plus grey and blue legs. The only TV show accurate minifigure version of Robin we’ve received to date was included in the long-since-retired 76052 Batman Classic TV series – Batcave, which released back in 2016.

Bat-Fans will be able to get up close and personal with 76328 Batman: The Classic TV Series Batmobile on October 1, when the LEGO Batman set blasts online and into stores for £129.99 / $149.99 / €149.99.
